J. Tropeano Inc. (JTI) was incorporated on April 29, 1983. For the past thirty years JTI has operated out of North Andover, Massachusetts as a privately held small business that has been primarily engaged as a heavy highway construction company providing general contractor services to both the public and private sectors. JTI is prequalified by Mass DOT Highway Division, Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority and the Department of Recreation and Conservation to perform work in various categories of heavy highway construction which may include but is not limited to the installation of drainage, water, sewer, electrical conduits, traffic signals, granite curbing, sidewalks, landscaping and bituminous concrete roadways and parking areas. Currently, public work, primarily with the Commonwealth of Massachusetts and various Cities and Towns within a 100 mile radius of North Andover, make up approximately 80% of the annual revenues of the Company. JTI has 32 employees, an aggregate bonding capacity of $24,000,000.00 and also holds SOMWBA Certifications for both a Woman-Owned Business Enterprise and a Disadvantaged Business Enterprise.
