The Gallery of Portuguese Pioneers is a museum that was inaugurated in 2003, with the aim of exploring and sharing the history of Portuguese immigration to Canada. The museum places emphasis on sharing the individual stories of immigrants belonging to one of Canada's largest ethnocultural groups, by using their personal artifacts as tools of narration. These pioneers, who scattered all across the country, established the foundation of Canada’s Portuguese community, creating a path for many future immigrants.
