HALOSCOPE Media
www.haloscope.orgWe’re HALOSCOPE — a digital news platform by (and for) Generation Z, with original writing and reporting on everything that matters. We’ve seen it on the streets, in the classroom, in the smoke-filled back rooms of parties: too much information and too little context. Too much noise and too little insight. Too much stagnation and not enough innovation. At HALOSCOPE, we’re letting a new vanguard lead the way — who better to report on the future than the people who’re building it? We cover what you care about, break stories that hold the powerful accountable, and elevate unheard voices — all while averaging 5k unique monthly readers. Whether it’s art, politics, music, fashion, film, sports, or beyond, we’re endlessly searching for borders to break down. We got our start in 2017, as an underground art and culture zine for teenagers. HALOSCOPE has come a long way since its pre-digital, copy-and-paste days, and has developed into both an online platform and a quarterly print magazine that documents and reports on contemporary culture. Now, HALOSCOPE has over 100 Gen Z journalists across New York, Toronto, Los Angeles, D.C., San Francisco, London, Dublin, Berlin, and beyond. We focus on breaking down news stories quickly and accurately for a digital-first generation. We break down what the Internet is talking about — from TikTok fashion trends to cryptocurrency to new forms of digital deception — in the language of the Internet itself. We’re committed to providing trusted, quality writing; making content on the Internet more inclusive, creative, and innovative; and changing the editorial vision of the future. As time goes on, we’ll continue to recruit the best-of-the-best Gen Z reporters, creators, and trailblazers to join us in this mission. We hope you’ll meet us there.
