The Havasi Wilderness Foundation is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising greater awareness and respect for the wilderness. The foundation strives to reconnect people with nature by providing opportunities for exposure to the wilderness and by offering engaging educational activities to pique curiosity and interest among children and adults. With current budget cuts, electronic immersion, and busy schedules, children are spending less time outdoors both at home and in school. The foundation works to bring children back into nature by funding field trips to state parks, national parks, and other wildlife areas. Additionally, the foundation offers educational materials including classroom presentations, wildlife games, activity books and a field guide for children, and wildlife articles and news.
