Sundsvall Timrå Airport is a key for development of business and tourism in Mid Sweden region. It is owned by the Sundsvall Timra municipals. Until 17 June 2013, the state has owned and operated Sundsvall Härnösand Airport through its state-owned company Swedavia, but by a government decision the ownership was changed to Sundsvall and Timra municipalities. The airport also gets a new logo and visual identity.
