The University of Central Florida established the College of Community Innovation and Education to bring together academic programs focused on building stronger communities. Through diverse programs and established partnerships, the college is uniquely positioned to develop innovative solutions to complex social issues that affect communities throughout Central Florida and beyond. The college offers undergraduate, master’s, education specialist, doctoral and certificate programs designed to be responsive to community needs. Programs include clinical mental health counseling, criminal justice, educational leadership, health management and informatics, higher education, learning sciences, legal studies, public administration and teacher education. Several of the programs are delivered in a flexible format, including both fully online and mixed-mode platforms. The College of Community Innovation and Education is the anchor college to UCF Downtown, a 21st-century campus that increases access for students, provides pathways into high-demand career fields, fosters collaboration with our neighbors in meaningful ways and improves countless lives through the power of education. Several of the college’s undergraduate and graduate programs are located in downtown Orlando, where students are provided with numerous opportunities to engage in community-based experiences. Internships, practicums and research can take place within walking distance of the downtown campus.
