More citizen's participation not only benefits our democracy but also our climate. How? With a Citizen's Assembly! Citizens’ assemblies are a highly promising democratic innovation that has been proven to deliver high-quality and just recommendations to political decision-makers while creating spaces for participation, dialogue and engagement. In December 2020 we finished one of the fifteen most successful petitions of all times at the German Parliament. Ever since, we are lobbying to convene such a democratic innovation in Germany. Who we are? A group of students and young professionals from all over Germany. Inspired by experiences in Ireland, France, and Great Britain, Citizen's Assemblies give us hope for an effective and just climate policy.
