The Australian Production Design Guild was established in 2009 as a non profit organisation aiming to raise the profile of stage and screen design, highlight the creative contribution made by the mise en scène, draw attention to professional standards, encourage young designers and associated professionals in the industry, recognise excellence for outstanding achievements through annual awards and grant APDG accreditation to outstanding Australian designers.
