Formule SAE de l'Université Laval is an electric Formula SAE team based in Quebec City, Canada. The team roughly consists of 40 passionate students who are mainly from the departments of mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, computer engineering, physical engineering and from the faculty of administration and communication. The team's values are Sustainable Development, Teamwork, Diligence and Excellence. Formule SAE de l'Université Laval is the best Formula SAE team in America in the electric category. Built on more than 25 years of experience from the foundation of the Formula SAE project in Laval University in 1989, the members reached a new milestone in 2015 by designing and manufacturing its first electric racecar. That same year, the team finished in 12th place overall in Formula Student Austria and won the 2nd position for the most energy efficient car and a special award for the most innovative cooling system for the electric motors. Shortly after that, they finished 4th out of 40 teams in the overall ranking in Formula Student Hungary and won a prestigious 2nd position at the design event.
