Pilda LLC's mission is to put a Pilda pill sorter into the hands of everyone who needs one. Pilda was the brain child of Geof Miller, who has Parkinson's Disease, and takes over 40 pills per day. It took him more than an hour to organize a week of pills into snap cases, and it was easy to make mistakes. He brought the problem and Pilda's first designs to Torrey Podmajersky, who designed the first functional prototype. Now Geof could sort his pills in less than 20 minutes, with far greater accuracy. Seeing the prototype, Pinda Bazley became the first investor and the first customer. The new pill sorter was named "Pilda" in her honor. Piilda LLC was born. Together, Geof, Pinda, and Torrey spent 18 months collecting feedback from early testers, researching the market, filing for a patent, and refining the original model into an inexpensive, compact, easy-to-use pill-sorting system.
