These are mostly educational projects that integrate technology and entrepreneurship in local communities. 2. Summer Technology and Entrepreneurship Program (STEP) is a program that focuses on providing High School Juniors and Seniors with a summer program to prepare them for the digital-based economy. 3. STEP was first piloted in Jersey City, NJ at the Mary Bethune Community Center in 2016. The program was well received by City Hall, parents, and the Mary Bethune Center leaders. 4. Summer 2017, the STEP program was rolled out in both Jersey City and Newark, NJ. The Newark, NJ program was sponsored by the National Action Network Center in Newark. The National Action Network is a not-for-profit, civil rights organization founded by the Reverend Al Sharpton in New York City, New York, in early 1991. 5.
