Society for Community Organization (SoCO), established in 1972, is a non-profit organization dedicated to relieve poverty and advocate for civic rights. SoCO serves the most underprivileged in HK, including cage and cubicle dwellers, the single elderly, new immigrant women, children living in poverty, street-sleepers, people with mental illness, low-paid workers, refugees and ethnic minorities. "SoCO" facilitates grassroots citizens to speak out through various avenues to have their voices heard, to lobby for policy changes, and provides a wide array of supportive services.
