JCK Foundation
www.jckfoundation.orgJohn Kelly’s love and loyalty started this journey, but his story opened our eyes to how many more out there need comfort and hope! Welcome to our page! Our mission at the JCK Foundation is to improve mental wellness and resilience amongst our youth by working directly with schools and their communities. Our "Legends” program shows how connection and community are key building blocks to mental wellness by preventing social isolation and building resilience! Our hope is that NO STUDENT will ever feel like they are alone in their mental health journey, and for each of them to realize just how much their story matters and is respected. Through our interactive workshops (offered both virtually and in-person), we aim to cultivate an environment where students feel valued, accepted, and motivated to make a positive impact on their own wellness and that of their peers. Since last July, we've run our workshops at over 40 schools and have directly impacted over 17,500 students, faculty members and parents. This year, we've launched a wonderful initiative called the "Student Legends Network". These are students from all the districts that we go to coming together every other Thursday night to meet! Inside these meetings, the students talk about ways to make mental health more approachable and to take care of ourselves and support our friends, classmates and loved ones! Although we "lead" these meetings, all we are doing is curating a space where these students can empower each other. It's truly been a wonderful way for students to build confidence, compassion, skills and knowledge. We hope this can continue to flourish and help as many students as possible. To get involved reach out to us directly! We focus primarily on or student, faculty and parent workshops ad well as the "Legends Network".
