Vive les Gueux is an association that is focused on education through entertainment with a specific emphasis on the 16th and 17th century and the Eighty Years' War that waged in that period. Though we focus mainly on the siege of Alkmaar in 1573, we also portray knowledge of the political aspects of the war, making the understanding of history live in the hearts and minds of our spectators. With play and song we entertain our viewers and they learn something in the process as well.
