A B I T A T creates and supports healthy environments where different species can find food, shelter, protection, and mates. To start, we’ve established a laboratory to develop ideas on how to live on two farms to the south of Cartagena in Turbaco, Colombia. The land, currently used for cattle farming, will be reforested and inhabited by a multidisciplinary team dedicated to regenerating the soil using old and new technologies, permaculture, low-impact building techniques, artistic exploration, and circular economies. Our goal is to build an example for others to follow by creating a new healthier way of living. We're focused on three core pillars - food, shelter, and learning. When we have proven the viability of the concept we will replicate the approach to other places in Colombia and beyond, transforming people’s approach to land management and co-habiting with nature. As well as intervening directly in certain A B I T A T S we offer environmental services to third-parties that want to explore similar concepts on their land/properties. A B I T A T specializes in creating crowdfunding campaigns for the projects that we believe have the potential to change the world. We are also creating an online marketplace that helps humans find the perfect habitat for them to be able to either live, or simply spend some time, immersing themselves in the different projects showcased on our web platform - www.abitat.co
