The company was established in 1984 for manufacturing of tractor gears and axles. Over the last two and a half decade the company has come to be Indias leading manufacturer in its field and is today a major OEM to all domestic tractor manufacturers in the country. The company has witnessed an exponential growth registering a CAGR of 58% over the last five years. In 2006 Milestone diversified into renewable energy generation with a focus to generate eco-friendly and non-polluting green energy from renewable sources to address the interrelated issues of fossil fuel depletion and climate change. The company is presently executing Roolang small hydel electric project in district Mandi Himachal Pradesh to meet its captive energy requirements. In addition the company plans to execute 20 MW of solar projects in Gujarat Rajasthan under the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission and a total of 30 MW in hydropower projects in Himachal Pradesh Uttarakhand.
