Boulevard magazine
www.boulevardmagazine.orgInternational literary magazine publishing tri-quarterly since 1985. Our mission is to publish the finest in contemporary fiction and poetry as well as definitive essays on the arts and culture, and to publish a diversity of writers who exhibit an original sensibility. We strive to publish work by women and men from a wide spectrum of generations, ethnic origins, and aesthetic sensibilities; Boulevard is proud to reach new and diverse audiences by publishing work by writers from this spectrum. It is our conviction that creative and critical work should be presented in a variegated yet coherent ensemble—as a boulevard, which contains in one place the best a community has to offer. In this way we hope to enrich the lives of anyone who enjoys reading good literature. Boulevard accepts unsolicited submissions from October 1-May 1. Boulevard holds the Short Fiction Contest for Emerging Writers ($1500 prize, deadline 12/31) and the Poetry Contest for Emerging Poets ($1,000 prize, deadline 6/1) in order to foster the growth of new writers. Boulevard is a non-profit funded, in part, through the generous support of individuals as well as grants from The National Endowment for the Arts, The Missouri Arts Council and The Regional Arts Commission.
