Nansen Dialogue Center is a local non-governmental, non-party, multiethnic and non-profit organization, established in year 2000 by several young enthusiasts, supported by the Nansen Academy from Lillehammer, Norway. The mission of Nansen Dialogue Centre Skopje is to support and contribute in the development of education through enhancing the capacities of the educational institutions and subjects by initiating intercultural and innovative educational policies and practices, as well as promotion and application of dialogue towards conflict prevention, reconciliation and peace building in the larger society. NDC Skopje serves as a resource centre for the teachers, students, schools and all education institutions in the country to contribute in improvement and development of intercultural knowledge and understanding in order to reduce the ethnic based segregation in schools and promote interculturalism in the educational system. NDC Skopje operates with a vision about a democratic society in which dialogue is the everyday tool for problem resolution between individuals, groups or communities. Society in which peace, multiethnic cohesion, integration, equality and tolerance are the main values.
