The Baltimore Heritage Area Association, Inc. is the management entity of the Baltimore National Heritage Area. Designated by the U.S. Congress in 2009, the heritage area covers roughly 22 square miles of the city’s most vibrant and historic neighborhoods. The mission of the heritage area is to promote, preserve, and enhance Baltimore’s cultural and historic legacy and natural resources for current and future generations. With Baltimore’s famed Inner Harbor at its heart, the heritage area’s boundary reaches out to include a wealth of historic, cultural, and natural resources.
