Energozapas offers design and construction support services for energy storage plant, that is called Lifted Weight Storage (LWS). LWS is a gravity energy storage. It consumes electricity to lift weights and generates power when weights go down because of gravity force. The Energozapas technologies make possible: 1. construction of ecologically-friendly energy storages from widely-used materials (concrete, steel, soil) 2. effective use of RES — Renewable Energy Sources (wind and solar energy) 3. adjournment of construction of new power network elements (substations and power lines) 4. more effective use of fossil fuel and reduction of carbon emissions from thermal power plants (coal and gas). LWS has a large number of identical elements, that can be easily maintained. The repair works are fast, easy and inexpensive. In case of single unit break down it takes no more than 3 days to repair it. The construction life time is determined by the life time of its reinforced concrete installations and estimated to be 50 years.
