Upwards & Onwards is the design practice of Tobias Ottahal. I work with socially and environmentally progressive people for powerful positive change. I'm a Swedish-born, award-winning designer that takes a human-centered, design-based approach to helping progressive organizations communicate better. I try to identify and understand the underlying motivations behind people's decisions and then create communications that resonate with them. I am particularly passionate about sustainability and environmental issues. Highlights include securing $29M for public transit and providing 200 beds during catastrophic floods. I see myself as someone who solves complex communication problems by translating human needs into understandable, actionable visual information.
