Ankarsrum Assistent Original® has been around for more than 80 years. What started as a kitchen machine for professional use is now an important part of households around the world. Ankarsrum Kitchen AB is one of three companies in the Ankarsrum Industries Group. The company is located in the historic mill town of Ankarsrum in Småland, Sweden , from where it markets, sells and distributes the Ankarsrum Assistent Original® mixer. The mixer was first developed in the 1940s by industrial designer Alvar Lenning under the watchwords 'quality, functionality and design.' The Ankarsrum Assistent Original® was Sweden's first mixer and it remains just as popular today. Since its launch in 1940, 1,500,000 Ankarsrum Assistent Original® mixers have been sold in 30 different countries.
