I.T. Ingegneria dei Trasporti S.r.l., founded in 1993 in Rome, specializes in studies of transport systems: transport planning, feasibility studies, projects for and monitoring of transport systems, development of models for transport applications, professional training, European research Sixth and Seventh Framework Programmes, planning of public transport networks, and surveys of vehicle flows. We develop our own software for a wide range of transport applications (SFINGE, SITICar). In addition to research and consultancy, I.T. is the only authorized distributor in Italy of the programs TransCAD®, TransModeler®, MAPTITUDE®and SIDRA INTERSECTION® for the development of models applied to transport. We also offer professional training in transport logistics, modelling, road safety, and the presentation of technical material on line and on paper. Our group consists of about twenty engineers, architects, and other experts. We maintain close relations with the Centre for Transport and Logistics of the “Sapienza” University of Rome and with numerous Italian and European partners. Our clients are mainly public organizations and private firms. I.T. has also been coordinator, partner, and subcontractor for a number of projects financed by the European Commission.
