Essex-Windsor EMS is a municipal Emergency Medical Service operated by the Corporation of the County of Essex. We provide ambulance services to the 7 municipalities that make up the County of Essex as well as the City of Windsor & Pelee Island. Operating 35 ambulances and 16 support vehicles from 13 stations, we service a population of 390,000 living in an area of 1300 square Kilometers(800 sq. miles). In 2010 our staff of 270 paramedics and support staff responded to 48,000 calls (96% 911 emergency & 4% non emergency interfacxility transfers).
