Surrounded by spectacular countryside that provides amazing walking and cycling opportunities, Otley sits proudly on the banks of the river Wharfe and at the foot of the famous Otley Chevin. The town is host to numerous annual events and festivals and there are plenty of pubs, restaurants and cafes where good food and drink is always on the menu. Otley Town Council has 15 councillors covering 5 wards. The Councillors are elected every four years and the next election will be in 2023. The Council runs a system of committees which are responsible for determining and agreeing the strategy, policies and general running of Otley Town Council.
