Born in the Constituent Congress of Milan on May 21, 1995, UGEI coordinates and represents Jews in Italy aged between 18 and 35 years. The official press organ of UGEI is HaTikwa, "Newspaper open to the free confrontation of ideas in respect of all opinions". UGEI is the contact organization at the Union of Italian Jewish Communities on behalf of all youth associations and is present as an observer with the right to speak at its Council meetings. The supreme organ of the UGEI is the Congress, which meets annually, which has the duty to examine the work done previously, analyze it and provide guidance for the future of the organization. The Congress elects, when foreseen by the Statute, the Executive Council, the College of Guarantors and the Auditors.
