Vollmer America, INC. is subsidiary of Vollmer GmbH and is located in Canaan, CT Founded in 1963 by Dipl.Ing. Friedrich Vollmer, Vollmer first made itself a name as a producer of high-precision strip thickness measuring systems. Our customers quickly recognized that Vollmer was able to offer solutions for other applications associated with the rolling mill. It was therefore not surprising that the product portfolio had already been expanded to include flatness measuring systems, hydraulic screwdowns, high-precision strip thickness and shape gauges as well as roll measuring devices by the end of 1970s. For decades, the name Vollmer has stood for the highest precision, dependability and partnership. The hundreds of measuring and control solutions in rolling mills and associated plants worldwide bear witness to the success and experience of our company. Our subsidiaries and partners in many countries of the world provide customer support as well as spare part and after-sales service. Vollmer has been impressing with innovativeness for over 50 years. The most recent example are the Vollmer laser strip thickness gauges from the VTLG series. Our products are designed and manufactured at the company headquarters in Hagen.
