www.spe-wa.orgThe Society of Petroleum Engineers (SPE) is a not-for-profit organization which provides opportunities for professionals in the oil and gas industry to enhance their technical and professional careers through networking and knowledge sharing events. More than 158,000 members in 143 countries participate in 203 sections and 382 student chapters. SPE’s membership includes more than 73,000 student members. SPE is the largest individual-member organisation serving Managers, Engineers, Scientists and other professionals worldwide in the upstream oil and gas industry. The Western Australia Section (SPE-WA) is one of the largest in the Asia Pacific region with strong support from its 800 members, whose disciplines span the oil and gas industry. The WA section is driven by professionals from the Perth oil and gas industry who (with the support of their employers) donate their time voluntarily. SPE-WA stands as the largest link between oil and gas industry professionals in Western Australia. Throughout the year, the SPE WA and SPE Young Professionals will be delivering programs and events to assist both experienced and young professional to enhance their knowledge through: → the Distinguished Lecturer Program, Technical Workshops and Technical Program Luncheon Series; → Young Professional Site Visits; → Scholarships to support Undergraduate Engineering Students; and, → the SPE WA Mentoring Program. In support of connecting our members, the WA Section also facilitate a number of social activities throughout the year including networking sundowners, our annual golf day and the annual fundraising ball. The SPE-WA would not be able to deliver such a comprehensive range of activities without the generous support of our sponsors. We particularly recognise the contributions of Quadrant Energy, Expro Group, Rock Flow Dynamics, Woodside, Chevron, Baker Hughes, RISC and Halliburton to furthering the objectives of the Society.
