The mission of Translating Research at Melbourne (TRaM) is to accelerate commercial insight for researchers at the University of Melbourne. TRaM comprises a suite of programs available to researchers to support their commercial development. These programs include: • TRaMx: A two day bootcamp for researchers to learn tools and frameworks for thinking commercially around research. • TRaM Track: Who cares? Are you working on the right problem? An eight-week training program based on the Lean LaunchPad methodology. The focus is for teams to understand if the problem their proposed solution satisfies actually matters, and provides tools and frameworks to guide the process. • TRaM Runway: Provides teams with skills and connections to accelerate their research impact. This is a 12-week program designed to support the teams by further applying the frameworks learned in the training program to their commercial venture. • TRaM AiR: Our research commercialisation incubator for TRaM alumni teams and key partners. Participants receive training, mentoring and office space.
