The South Florida Manufacturing Association has partnered with local Industry to create a Journeyman Machinist Apprenticeship Program. The competency-based approach of this program allows students to progress at their own pace. As the students complete hands-on machining projects, they also earn nationally-recognized NIMS Certifications in addition to working towards their state-certified Journeyman Machinist Certificate. Classes are held in the evenings using the facilities of the Atlantic Technical Center Machining Program.
