Self-propelled cars are a thing of the distant future? Not for the "Autonomous Racing Graz" Team. Researchers from the Graz University of Technology Institute of Control and Automation Engineering and the Virtual Vehicle Research Center are working together on the vision of independent, intelligent driving. ARG participates in the global Roborace race series (www.roborace.com) since 2019 and is one of the university teams of the 2021 DARPA Indy Autonomous Challenge (www.indyautonomouschallenge.com). The vision: Prove and demonstrate autonomous driving at the edge to build trust and acceptance in such systems. Serious research and fun can go together.
