VILMA Consulting is a new company started by the very experienced agile specialist Majken Vildrik Thougaard in 2017. The motivation for this is to help more companies succeed with an agile transformation via faster access to an agile specialist, than what a traditional hiring process can offer. We see agile as a skill – just like riding a bike, and less as a theoretical package you can read. Agile is a mindset, a set of habits that needs to be adopted to become ‘fluent’ in working agile. And we believe in practice, and have strong faith in that ‘fun learning lasts for longer’. Agile is a skill that can be adopted by anyone, irrespective of background, culture, language etc. Majkens agile proficiency is earned by working in agile since 2000 in the roles as Product Owner, Team member and ScrumMaster, and is supported by certifications as Product Owner (CSPO), ScrumMaster (PSM) and in SAFe as Scaled Agile Program Consultant (SPC). Training skills are earned by teaching at Danish Technical University for 3 years (master and Ph.D.-level), combined with a NLP Practitioner program and a number of years as coach, choreographer and captain on a skating team. VILMA Consultings primary expertise lies in agile advisory, coaching and training across team level agile and scaled agile. We provide tailor made workshops for teams and groups of Product Owners.
