The American Community Gardening Association (ACGA) is non-profit organization comprised of community gardeners, policy makers, health professionals, volunteers and supporters of various community-based gardening efforts across the United States and Canada. Community gardening - among many other things - advances community development, social interaction, beautifies neighborhoods, produces nutritious and affordable food, conserves resources and creates opportunities for recreation, exercise, therapy and education.
