The Dorset Children's Foundation was set up in 2013 to improve the lives of local sick and disabled children and since then we have donated over £750,000 to over 150 local children. We are a small, independent charity and fund medical expenses, mobility equipment and therapies not covered by the NHS. We also grant life enriching experiences, to create special memories that last longer than a lifetime. The Dorset Children’s Foundation also provide Accessible for All sports and inclusive activities for disabled children. We have created a network of support for parents in a similar situation and the opportunity for our families to get together. We also run Paddy’s Purpose a disability awareness workshop, available for schools and businesses. Our 3 charity shops in Bournemouth, cover our modest overheads so every single penny donated goes directly to the children.
