Established under the Petroleum Resources Act No. 21 of 2021, the Petroleum Development Authority of Sri Lanka (PDASL) is the country's Regulator of petroleum exploration and production operations. It is tasked with attracting and managing investment in the upstream oil and gas sector efficiently, transparently, equitably and with due consideration to the country’s environmental and cultural heritage.
