Consensus KC is the nonprofit that puts the “public” in public policy. We give people a voice in decisions that affect their lives. We provide reliable, useful information to elected officials and others who need to know what people want. Consensus KC works on behalf of the metro Kansas City community and for clients here and around the U.S. Since is founding in 1984, Consensus has involved citizens in many ways and on a range of issues. Our work has led to new programs ad laws, such as the bi-state cultural tax that restored Union Station. We have worked with national leaders on award-winning civic engagement projects. We have produced new community leaders with a regional perspective. We have helped people wrestle with hard choices. We have promoted civility in pubic engagement. We have strengthened the civic fabric.
