I am a photographer specializing in location and studio work for healthcare, advertising, corporate and editorial. I have been working with "real people" patients (as well as casted talent) for over 10 years for various drug and healthcare companies and ad agencies and design firms for annual reports and advertising campaigns as well as other collateral material. I capture the real person living their lives, and doing what what they love to do. I also work with the biggest CEOs, executives and celebrities in the world and make them feel at ease and comfortable in front of the camera.I often talk about my work on my blog: billbernsteinphoto.tumblr.com From "on location" to high-end studios, to the corner of a small makeup trailer on location (where I captured a major iconic image of Sir Paul McCartney for his World Tour advertising) I thrive on making things work and getting the shot. I got my start at The Village Voice in NYC, later shooting many of the "front of the book" portraits for Elle Magazine. I learned how to establish rapport with people quickly and make them feel at ease.

I have an amazing team of pre-production and post-production people to ensure that each job gets done right, on schedule and on budget. As a personal project I spent time photographing close-up, large scale portraits of the faces of the men at The Bowery Mission Men’s Shelter in lower Manhattan. These portraits later became the photo exhibit “About Face”. My clients include: PalioIgnite, Maimonides Medical Center, Celgene, Roche, The Medicines Company, National Geographic TV, The New York Philharmonic, Curran & Connors, The Dilenschneider Group, McCartney Productions, LTD, USAA, Haymarket Media, American Eagle, Fifth &Pacific, HGTV and the band U2. I was asked by Sir Paul McCartney in 1989 to be his personal photographer and traveled with him and worked on every major world tour thru 2005. I live in New York City with my wife and son.
