Santa Barbara Student Housing Co-Operative is the only student cooperative housing provider in the Santa Barbara County area. Founded by UCSB students in 1976, SBSHC owns and operates six properties on the beautiful Southern California coastline. Housing options within the organization include home-type arrangements as well as apartment living arrangements. Each house / property operates its day-to-day functions, and the Board of Directors is student-run.
