Protobox LLC is an innovative engineering firm located directly across from the US Air Force Museum in Dayton, Ohio. We design, develop and manufacture Research & Development Flight Simulators, Visual Display Systems, Custom Circuit Boards, and LED and Solar Lighting Solutions. We have completed over 90 projects (DOD and commercially) since our inception in 2000. We have also been awarded several Small Business Innovative Research projects from the Air Force and Navy during this time. Our commercial customers include local companies such as Emerson Climate Technologies in Sidney, Ohio and national firms such as Northrup Grumman. We currently provide engineering and technical support to the Air Force Research Laboratories Aerospace Systems Directorate at Wright-Patterson AFB. The Protobox facility is comprised of hardware and software engineering offices, a prototyping machine shop (includes a CNC machine, mill, shear, etc.), an electronics development and custom circuit board production laboratory (includes automated SMT electronic component pick and place machine and oven), light laboratory, and a research simulator. The facility has approximately 15,000 square feet of office, manufacturing, and laboratory space.
