Kandahar Lodge is a beautiful boutique hotel located at Whitefish Mountain Resort, 7 miles from Whitefish, Montana and 35 miles from the west entrance of Glacier National Park. Ski home to Kandahar from the slopes of Big Mountain. Winter activities include skiing, snowmobiling, cross country skiing, dog sledding and day trips to Glacier National Park or Fernie, BC. In the summer season walk out the front door to hiking, mountain biking, zip lines, an alpine slide and chairlift rides to the Summit. Kandahar is closed in the spring and fall to individual travelers but will open for groups; corporate retreats, board meetings, weddings, family reunions, golf groups, etc. Amenities include the elegant lobby with its wood-burning river rock fireplace, Cafe Kandahar and amazing Chef Andy Blanton, the fully licensed Snug Bar, a large outdoor hot tub, steam room, exercise room and massage treatment room. The 50 rooms were redecorated in 2001 and have queen beds with down comforters, microwaves, small refrigerators and A/C. Most rooms are hotel style but there are also studios and loft rooms with kitchens.
