Our Mission The Ontario Association of Speech-Language Pathologists and Audiologists (OSLA) is the strong, collective, influential voice for the professions in the Province. OSLA represents, promotes and supports its members in their work on behalf of all Ontarians, especially those with communication disorders, swallowing difficulties, or hearing health care needs. Role of OSLA OSLA was incorporated in 1965 as a voluntary, not-for-profit association. OSLA supports its members by providing a wide range of services, including provincial advocacy, promotion of the professions, educational opportunities and professional resources. OSLA continually reaches government, media, health care professionals and others to ensure that speech, language, swallowing, hearing and balance are recognized as part of total wellness. OSLA works closely with many other professional associations and consumer organizations that share an interest in health and educational needs relating to communication and is dedicated to ensuring that Ontarians have access to the essential services provided by Audiologists and Speech-Language Pathologists.
