Since its creation, on October 18, 1993, MultiRio - Multimédia Municipal Company, linked to the Municipal Department of Education of the city of Rio de Janeiro, has been supporting its work in the city-education convergence. To fulfill the mission of researching languages and formats, to experience technological possibilities in curricular content, to produce learning resources, to expand the distribution of educational-cultural products and to enable educational professionals to use the media in the classroom, the Company counts on multidisciplinary teams and equipment of last generation. In this sense, a digital platform is used in which the different media - TV (NET channel 26), social networks (Facebook, Youtube, Twitter and Instagram), Web Radio, Portal, pen card and print - interact, diversifying access possibilities to their products and offering to the public school of the city of Rio and to the population in general, in real time, what is most current in productions and educational interfaces. Through the digital platform, MultiRio offers more than 7,000 titles. These are videos, podcasts, news articles, publications, animations, children's books with augmented reality, interactive digital games, 3D conversion series, virtual reality videos and holographic simulations, among others. So learning and reporting becomes easier and more attractive. Aware of the formation of the leading citizen of his time, the Company has been focusing on the principles of ethics, aesthetics, reliability of information and democratization of access to quality products, aimed at expanding knowledge and the constitution of values. In this way, contributing to the constant updating of public education, MultiRio has been consolidating its action in the use of means of communication and technological resources in the permanent exercise of teaching and learning.
