Miles of Scarves is a youth-led 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization that exists to improve the lives of those living with multiple sclerosis (MS). Dedicated volunteers knit scarves and other items to sell online, at craft fairs, at MS Society events, and outside local shops. Every year, Miles of Scarves donates to MS research at the Virginia Commonwealth University, sponsors a rest stop on Bike MS: Colonial Crossroads, sponsors a scholarship for a graduating high school senior who has MS or a parent with MS, and buys holiday gifts for a family affected by the disease. Miles of Scarves hosts an annual silent auction and cocktail party called the Yarn Ball to raise money for research. Since 2009, Miles of Scarves has raised over $75,000.
