This is a private horse farm where instruction is given in horse riding and horse care Louise Jordan-Beam, BHSAI Louise is a British Horse Society registered Assistant Instructor, (BHSAI), who moved to the United States in 1992, and now lives with her husband and 2 sons on their 25 acres horse farm in Douglassville, PA. She brought all this knowledge and experience to the US and starting teaching and helping out at her local pony club, Berks Pony Club. She was the secretary, wrote and published the monthly newsletter, was the show jumping and dressage coach with much success, and eventually the District Commissioner. She was also an examiner for the regional Pony Club. Whilst doing this Louise had 2 children, opened her own training facility and competed on her own horse - only having time for one horse! Now Louise has 6 horses and ponies used for lessons and competing, and teaches at her farm, Corner House Farm, and travels to teach as well. Corner House Farm has a full size dressage arena, stadium jumps and a low level cross country course, all of which are available for hire to individuals and for clinics. She also invented an all in one halter lead shank called the Emergency Halterlead, which fits dogs all the way up to heavy horses and acts like a control halter with a lead shank and is able to fit in your pocket. Louise teaches to British Horse Society standards whether in riding or horse care with safety being the most important subject. She approached the BHS to see if she could teach their Horse Owners course in the United Sates and was the first registered BHS instructor given permission to do so. She opened the door for others to help spread the BHS standards in the US. She also writes books for children about one of her ponies. There are 3 books currently.
