Canadian Women in Aviation (CWIA) is a collective of women who work in Canadian aviation. Our community is founded on the philosophy that we are greater than the sum of our parts. We strongly believe that diverse and inclusive industries are more innovative, competitive and profitable. We started in 1991 when 30 female pioneers in Canadian aviation came together sparking a sense of community that has grown over the years. Today, our community has grown to 1400 people who work across a wide cross-section of aviation trades. Every two years, CWIA runs a 100% volunteer-powered conference which focuses on providing a forum for women to network, discuss aviation best practices, and plan for individual and industry improvement.
