Mountain View Church exist to know Christ & make Him known as we develop & equip the family of faith to share the love & hope of Jesus Christ.This mission is accomplished through the following core principles. Nurture – (Discipleship & Ministry) 2 Cor. 5:17 – “Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a NEW creation; old things have passed away; behold, all things have become NEW.” John 13:34,35 – “A NEW commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another.” Ephesians 4:11, 12 – “And he gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers; 12For the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, for the edifying of the body of Christ…” Evangelism – (Outreach & Missions) Matthew 28:18-20 – “And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. 19Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, 20teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Acts 2:47 - “And the Lord added to the church daily those who were being saved.” Worship – (Prayer, Individual & Corporate Worship) Matthew 21:13 – “And He said to them, “It is written, ‘My house shall be called a house of prayer,’ but you have made it a ‘den of thieves.” Romans 12:1 – “Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship.” (NIV) Psalm 40:3 – “He has put a NEW song in my mouth—Praise to our God…” Serving – (Serving God by Serving Others) Romans 6:18 says, “You have been set free from sin and have become slaves [or servants] of righteousness.”
