Precious Minds Support Services

www.preciousminds.com

Precious Minds supports individuals of all ages with a range of developmental challenges, including but not limited to developmental delays and autism spectrum disorders. We do this through programs designed to foster skill development and by providing holistic family support. Our skill-focused programs target the enhancement of social interaction, personal care, recreation and fitness and work readiness skills. Our family support includes workshops and individual consultations for parents, as well as workshops and social events for siblings. Throughout the year, we also offer events for participation of the whole family. Precious Minds began in response to seeing the broad spectrum of needs experienced by families in North Durham. Established as a charitable organization in 1999 and incorporated in November 2001, Precious Minds continues to expand and evolve to meet the growing needs of our community. We are not government funded, and Precious Minds relies on grants, community fundraising and donations to achieve our vision and provide CARE, SUPPORT and HOPE in our community. We are located on Highway 12, just north of Greenbank, where the townships of Uxbridge, Brock and Scugog meet. Programs include respite, summer camps, ART STUDIO adult day program, social skills training and social opportunities. For the family, we offer sibling support, educational opportunities, resources and financial assistance. Please visit our website at www.preciousminds.com to learn more about programs, events and how you can support Precious Minds!
