The Community Development Trust (CDT) works with local, regional, and national partners across the United States to make long-term equity investments and to originate and acquire long-term mortgages in affordable housing and select charter schools. CDT seeks to support affordable housing and community development. Our mission is to ensure housing affordability and to enhance the quality of life for residents of low- and moderate-income communities. Since 1999, CDT has invested over $2.9 billion in debt and equity capital into properties in 45 states and regions – helping to preserve and create over 53,500 units of affordable housing. CDT is a private real estate investment trust (REIT) and a certified national Community Development Financial Institution (CDFI).
