www.acdoisportos.comThis Cooperative located in the center of the demarcated region of Lisboa, was founded on February 24th of 1960 and started its operations in 1964, the year that have been completed the works for the initial project with only 188 members, is currently composed by 807 Cooperators and includes a social area which is limited to the parishes of Dois Portos, Runa, S. Domingos de Carmões and part of the parish of S. Pedro in the Municipality of Torres Vedras, part of the parish of the Enxara do Bispo of Municipality of Mafra and part of the parishes of Sobral de Monte Agraço.With a production rate of around 70% in red grapes and 30% in white grapes, produces annually about 75 000 hl. of wine, with the predominant caste in grapes: “Castelão” (parakeets), “Alicante Bouschet”, “Syrah”, “Touriga Nacional”, “Cabernet Sauvignon” and “Aragonez” . In white grapes: “Fernão Pires”, “Vital”,“Alicante”, “Arinto” and “Seara Nova”. In the technological aspect that has accompanied the most modern winery winemaking techniques with a consequent improvement in the quality of its wines. Since the 1986 harvest the winery keeps in place a system of bonus payment of noble grape varieties of the region provided that they meet certain characteristics. After the creation of the demarcated region of Torres Vedras, started the production of D.O.P. and Regional wines, with the traditional varieties that are already destined to our reserves.
