Our mission is to bring people and communities together to create and sustain home ownership opportunities in Williamson County. Since 1999, we have partnered with 59 families, providing affordable home ownership opportunities throughout Williamson County. We are a “hand up, not a hand out” organization. Homeowner families are selected on the basis of need, willingness to work on their own home, ability to make a small down payment for taxes and insurance, and ability to repay Habitat the cost for all materials in their home. This is done with a 20 year no-interest mortgage. Habitat makes no profit and uses the monthly mortgage payments to build more homes. We operate a ReStore, which collects and sells re-usable construction material, fixtures and other household items. Funds from the ReStore operation support the Habitat for Humanity of Williamson County, Texas, affiliate and help in the construction of new Habitat for Humanity homes in Williamson County.Your contributions to the ReStore mean materials are kept in use instead of thrown into the landfill. Donate materials to the ReStore and avoid hauling costs.
